Blight to Bright - the selfish guide to happiness!
Updated: Nov 4, 2023

Some years ago I recall being in my office and a plant scientist popped by to see me.
They remarked that I had 'blight' on my indoor plant and the best thing I could do was to get the scissors and remove the 'infected' areas lest I risk infecting and/or losing the whole plant.
The older I get the more this speaks to my soul.
I tend to be very selfish about what I want to 'engage' in. Life is too short, to be concerned with sh*t that does not serve you.
Maybe take some time to reflect on what no longer serves you? Be they poor habits, sh*tty relationships, or a work environment that's outgrown its pot.
Prioritise self-care and ask yourself "does what I am engaging in align with my purpose and/or my goals"?
Pruning away what doesn't serve us allows us to nurture and cultivate the life we want.
In short I no longer do s*it that I don't want to, or that does not serve me. Selfish - YES. But hey, at 50 (the plus is silent) I think I've earned it!
So have you.
Stay focused & strategic friends.
