Well, bit of a break between my last post and this one. But time to wrap up the year and get ready, spiritually, physically and mentally for 2024. What a year 2023 has been. Not what I planned that is for sure. A number of big changes for me that will carry me into 2024 and beyond. Changing the way I do some things and stepping into some different spaces to try new things (stay tuned). After a well-deserved time out – I am F3 – Fully Focused Forward. Look out 2024 – I am excited and greatful for all the opportunities to come. NOTE: this is how I am spelling “GREATFUL” now, it seems such a waste of a word to spell it grateful. Grate: to rub something with a rough surface to break it into small particles; or a framework of metal bars…verses GREAT: an adjective to describe something of high quality, large in amount or degree.

In 2024 I will continue my chapters for Career Advice for Women – How Not to Get Screw*d! First up we will be talking about money and finances. One of the ways women can feel empowered is to feel financially safe and informed. Whilst I am no expert, I do have some tips. A number of these I learnt through my 15 years in the banking sector, others from life experience, and through the wisdom of others. I will also start to release the vignettes from the fabulous women, from all walks of life, who have sent in their tips on career advice and lessons they have learnt. I have loved reading them, real stories from real women, just like you and I, obtainable, achievable, practical, and useable.

For now though, Merry Xmas and Happy New Year friends. Thank you to those women who have sent me messages to say they booked themselves in for their mammograms – that was a wonderful Xmas present!

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support. Wishing you a happy and safe holiday break. Let us look forward to 2024 and the International Year of Camelids (which by the way I had to google). But a good analogy for 2024 – let us make it a year of exploration, adventuring and wandering off our designated paths to explore, experience and understand new things about ourselves, our environment, other people and different cultures. Perhaps through understanding we can sow the seeds of peace in our own lives and the world. Remember, from little things big things grow.
