Welcome to 2024 - strap in!

Wowser what a start to 2024 for me!!! When I wrote in December 2023, whilst some of these dreams were in my head, I had no idea how quicky they would come to fruition! There is something to be said about manifesting and being brave!

After 15 years in the University sector I took the opportunity to semi-retire (or as I like to call it semi-untired) and have joined a fabulous not-for-profit (NFP) Smart Precinct NQ. I am still connected to the university sector through my research and teaching, and as an adjunct with the College of Business, Law and Governance, with Associate Professor Josephine Pryce and Industry Consultant with the Centre for International Trade & Business In Asia with Associate Professor Taha Chaiechi. Stay tuned for more information on extending on my academic life in collaboration with Dr Marnie Gibson and our fabulous research supervisor Dr Kim Southey (again bold, brave plans).

I’ve kicked off the year strong – went through a cyclone (literally and figuratively). What’s that saying – sometimes the storm come to clear your path! I had the opportunity to present on my research (every research students dream to hold a captive audience), networked to my heart’s delight, and was MC for the launch of my good friend Di Newell’s business The People and Culture Link (that was a great night, filled with laughter and lots of love)! And just to keep things exciting, I continue to work on my writing through my blog and my book Career Advice for Women-how not to get screw*d! © .

Friends (old and new) I am greatful (you know that’s how I spell it now) for the love, support, encouragement of each and every one of you.

Definitely stay strong and sassy and BELIEVE in yourself!
